General model history:
The BMW Alpina B3 S (E46) is an outstanding example of German engineering and precision. Developed by Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH, it combines the solidity of the BMW 3 Series E46 with the exclusive performance and refinement for which Alpina is renowned.
The B3 S was introduced in 2002 as a further development of the B3 3.3 and was equipped with an enlarged 3346 cm³ inline six-cylinder engine. With 305 hp and 362 Nm of torque, it offered performance figures that were on a par with the M3 at the time – but with significantly more everyday comfort and understatement.
Only around 600 examples of the B3 S were ever produced, making it a highly sought-after collector's item today. As is customary at Alpina, each vehicle was individually manufactured, assembled with great care and given a sequential production number.
Explicit data about this car:
This BMW Alpina B3 S E46 was produced in 2002 for the Belgian market, but was not registered in Belgium until 2006. In 2007, the vehicle came to Austria to its second owner, a Porsche workshop owner, who has maintained it with the utmost care over the years.
The car has never been driven in winter, has never been involved in an accident and still has its original paintwork. The mileage of 81,000 km is fully documented. The service log is complete, and all factory documents and the original Alpina delivery letter are available.
It has almost all the extras, including leather interior, glass sunroof, automatic climate control, Alpina interior trim and much more.
Thanks to the new ÖAMTC inspection (§57a), the car is ready for immediate use.
An excellently preserved, original B3 S, the likes of which are rarely found today – and with only a small number ever produced, a real opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of classic BMW Alpina vehicles.
