General model history:
The Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark III represents the final and most mature stage of evolution in the DB2/4 series and is considered the most technically advanced and best-driving model in this series. It formed the direct transition to the legendary DB4 generation and combined classic Aston Martin virtues with significantly modernised technology.
The dashboard is particularly striking, with a design that is strongly reminiscent of the later DB4 and is almost identical in execution. Technically, too, the Mark III was similar to its successor: the last models built were equipped with disc brakes on the front axle as standard and had rear lights that also corresponded to the design of the DB4.
Due to its limited production numbers and its role as a link between two significant model generations, the DB2/4 Mark III is now one of the most sought-after classic Aston Martin models.
Explicit data about this car:
This example impresses with its extremely harmonious colour combination and original, very well-preserved grey-blue leather interior. The car was owned by a collector in the USA for many years, where it was maintained in remarkably original condition. Around 15 years ago, the vehicle was brought back to Europe and restored here with great care, with an emphasis on authenticity and preserving its substance.
After more than ten years in its last ownership, this Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark III is now back on the market. The vehicle is ready to drive and presents a rare opportunity to acquire a technically mature, stylistically pioneering and excellently preserved example of this model series.
