Gebrüder Ihle KG, founded in Bruchsal in 1930, began manufacturing fairground rides for showmen after the Second World War, particularly in the mid-1950s. These included bumper cars, carousels, and children's cars with detailed bodies made of glass fiber-reinforced polyester.

A specific model from 1955: a miniature Mercedes 300 SL model approximately 2.50 m long with a fiberglass body, stainless steel tank, original Mercedes steering wheel, and an 8 hp Hirth two-stroke engine.
