General model history:
This is a hand-built aluminum prototype based on a shortened 1970 Lamborghini Jamara GT 400 chassis, designed by Gitto Bizzarrini's business partner Andrea Morelli, who had the idea to build such a car in 1968.
Based on this almost new Jamara, the project was launched in 1972.
The car was to look like one of Bizzarrini's P 538 racing cars, but with a front engine instead of the mid-engine of that type.
The information says that the body was built in the famous Scagletti halls at weekends by the well-known Giancarlo Guerra, who also built most of the 250 GTOs.
It was never fully completed and remained 90% complete in the hands of Mr. Morellis until about 10 years ago
Initially conceived as a fastback coupé with targa roof (to be seen in the picture of the BIZZARRINI book, the genius behind Ferrari's 250GTO), it was built as a barchetta version during the production phase.
10 years ago, a collector bought the car from Mr. Andrea Morelli. It was made ready to drive and received a German H registration. This was a great success, as the car is now road-legal and can be registered in Germany.
The car is 95% finished and needs little work to complete and enjoy, but gives the new owner the opportunity to paint it to their taste and customize the interior.
The car is ready to drive.
